The Ethical Landlady
The Ethical Landlady provides a comprehensive lettings service to both landlords and tenants in south London.
The Ethical Landlady Ltd was created in 2017 to provide a high quality tailored letting and property management service to landlords across London and the south east.
We recognise that landlords want an agent that will do what they say they will do, keep them informed, ensure legal compliance and charge a fair price. Tenants want a letting agent who is readily accessible, straight forward to deal with and responds quickly to issues or concerns.
The Ethical Landlady delivers all of those things but places a premium on doing so with integrity, honesty, fairness and respect.
The service is available to landlords of a single property and those with larger portfolios.
Services offered include;
- Market appraisal and rental valuation of your property
- Advertising and marketing your rental property including photography, floorplans as required
- Handling all communications with prospective tenants
- Conducting all face to face or virtual viewings
- Managing tenant referencing requirements
- Ensuring all legal and compliance requirements are met
- Commissioning of any EPC, gas, electrical certificates
- Creation of necessary Tenancy Contracts
- Registration of rental deposit in government scheme
- Ongoing tenancy and property management
- Project management of property refurbishment prior to or during the tenancy
What we charge
And its less than you might think
We take a fair, transparent and fixed fee approach to finding the right tenants and letting your property. The Tenant Find service advertises your property, finds you tenants, puts in place the tenancy agreement and ensures the tenants move in safely.
Who is The Ethical Landlady?
I’m Karen Gregory aka The Ethical Landlady and I began operating as a letting agent in 2017 having rented out my own properties for a number of years.
My own experience of using high street agents combined with the stories that friends and family would tell me convinced me that there was an opportunity to provide the kind of letting service that I would want for myself. By that I mean operating as a lettings agent who is driven by a desire to provide a top class service to both landlords AND tenants, a strong belief that being ethical is important in a world that can often appear unfair and unscrupulous and most importantly, a personal ambition to play a key role in providing lovely, safe homes for people to live in.
My ethical approach to the business also includes ensuring that I am positive about and respectful of the different needs of landlords and tenants based on their social identity.
As they say, if you want something done properly, do it yourself – so I launched The Ethical Landlady.
